The date is Thursday 29th October 2009, the time is 16h00, the location is Pearly Grey Ocean Club & the reason is to watch our restaurant manager Adrian Vahle get his chest waxed in the name of charity.

As it approached 4pm on this sunny afternoon, the crowds gathered in anticipation of what was to come, all had come to support Adrian in this great cause to raise money for the Ingane Yami Children’s Village in the Durban area of South Africa.

Kim & her daughter Jasmin gladly offered their skills to perform the chest waxing, and once it got underway they invited PG staff and owners to ‘tear a strip off Adrian’, it was no surprise that we had many volunteers stepping up to have a go, it was equally no surprise that nearly everyone of these was female!! To say that they enjoyed Adrian’s pain would be wrong, but suggest it, well who knows?

This was a fun event and everyone enjoyed it, Adrian was a fantastic sport to put himself through this.

Well done Adrian, we are all very proud of you!!
Adrian raised €270.00..!!
