Admin Day Out in Chío 9th June 2009
June 12th, 2009 by Pearly GreyThe admin team drove up to the great wilderness of Chío for a picnic lunch and team building games on the most beautiful day of the year. Everyone brought a typical dish from her home country to share, and Mariana made little flags to mark them with. We had egg salad sandwiches, sausage rolls, quiche, potato salad, cole slaw, and desserts from England, tuna salad and tuna croquetas from Spain, Ham bread from Venezuela, Empanadas from Argentina, pizza from Italy, authentic quiche and crepes from France, spicy chicken wings from South Africa, and Reese´s Peanut Butter Cups from the good old U.S. of A. Of course there was every kind of potato chip, cracker, and soda imaginable, as well, but Mariana had a go at bringing us healthy fruit as well.
Tea and coffee were also present, but for most it was best to stay away from too many liquids, as the bathrooms were locked and the trees were being used for more than just scenery and shade.
Mariana planned two games for us: charades and “I never.” We all got to know each other better, had lots of good laughs, and left feeling like a real team.
