All work and no play, not at Pearly Grey!!

You know what they say about all work and no play?
Well, the hardworking and largely unseen Pearly Grey Administration team recently took an afternoon out, away from their desks, for a little welcome R & R.
The whole team left the Resort at midday for the short drive to the only ten-pin bowling alley in the south of Tenerife, “Harley’s Superbowl” in Las Americas, which boasts ten computerized bowling lanes, and where we had hired four lanes to compete for a stunning team trophy, kindly provided by Pauline’s son Lee. (OK, so it had really started life as a golfing trophy, but you wouldn’t know unless you examined it closely….)
The names of the four players in each team had already been drawn out of a hat, so it was on with the bowling shoes and then the fun began…
Some were expert and had clearly been bowling many times before, but to others it was a new and somewhat baffling experience, requiring intense concentration and generating much clapping and cheering from their team-mates but it is fair to say that everyone made a sterling effort and a great time was had by all.

Once the games were over, the entire team sat down for burgers and chips, to discuss what had gone before and to await the prize-giving with breathless anticipation…
Lily was named as the star player, finishing the afternoon with the highest individual score, but the team prize and therefore the dazzling trophy was awarded to Pauline and her team of Anabel, Laura and Mariana.

Altogether, a fun afternoon out for all the Administration team, who are already planning their next excursion…..anyone for golf??
