Pearly Grey Ocean Club is a holiday ownership complex, situated in a very unique location of Callao Salvaje in Tenerife overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and offering uninterrupted views across to the picturesque island of La Gomera.
Hiya everyone, I´d just like to say what a fantastic few weeks we´ve had at Pearly Grey with our Tropical Night and 70´s night.
Paul, Heather, and Rick
Guests really got into the swing of things with the 70´s show, opening with “The Carwash,” followed by Grease, “You´re the One that I Want” ….with a difference, Helen from Scotland. Fab! Plus, Kevin, your rep, really got into it!

And as for 6´5″ Gary singing “Sandra Dee,” brilliant!

Thanks to my ABBA troupers as well. All the hard work paid off, and thanks to the bar and restaurant for really getting into things and dressing up. Theme nights will be every Wednesday so watch out, guests, it could be you this week!!! Watch this space, too. I´ve a few new ideas up my sleeve.. FOUR …yes….FOUR different theme nights over the month.
Here are some videos from our first Theme night - Tropical Night.
FH Publishing is another resale company that will offer to sell your timeshare for you, but will scam you out of money.
Please be assured that Pearly Grey will NEVER give out your contact information or ownership. Any company that asks you for money up front (an “administration fee”) to sell your timeshare is a scam. Protect yourself from these companies by not giving them your details, and do not ever send them any money!
Other companies to beware of: ETOO and BONUS, but there can be many more!
One of the many perks of working at Pearly Grey is that once a year, the Administration and Accounts teams go for a day out together. In my experience, this always includes a meal (good) and some kind of physical exertion (sweaty), as you can see below:
Lily and Mariana suffering in “The Gorge of Hell” during our May 2007 outing.
This year, we went to Eagle Park. Our day started out seemingly benign. We worked for 3 hours in the morning, then drove over the the park, which is located in Chayofa, near Los Cristianos. We sat down and had a nice meal of salad, chicken and chips (spaghetti for me, the vegetarian), bread, water and wine. All was fine until we got to the dessert, when tragedy struck.
The plastic spoon of Ricardo was mortally wounded at this point.
After mourning the broken spoon, we walked down a few steps and were right in the Exotic Birds Show area. They actually have a sixty-one year old parrot there named Scooby Doo who is a trained mechanic! It was a great show, presented in both English and Spanish so everyone could understand.
From there, we walked around, looking at all the different kinds of animals there, including monkeys, penguins, big cats of all types, alligators, and crocodiles.
Then we reached my favourite part: the bobsled.
Pauline nearly plowed over by speed-demon, Elizabeth.

Mariana, Wendy, and Anabel
Anabel and Ricardo
Not everyone wanted to participate in this death-defying activity, but those of us who did could not stop smiling afterwards.
From there, we went on the Jungle Raid, which challenged us to walk over suspension bridges, slide down poles, and climb up and down rope ladders.
Needless to say, this was where the physical exertion came in. We admin people cannot handle much:
Mariana and Wendy
Francoise and Anabel
After a short rest on the immaculate, natural wood chairs, we moved on to the Birds of Prey Show, where we saw vultures, eagles, and other birds of enormous size. There was even a local eagle trying to defend its territory against the birds in the show - it was nerve-wracking to see how the local bird dove at the star of our show, but in the end all was well.
Unlike our last day out, we were all in good condition the following day, sore muscle and sunburn free.
After a brief haitus, Canarian night is back every Monday on a trial basis. We sent out an email survey to all of our owners, and have received back tons of responses - thank you all for letting us know that you are interested!
The meal includes Canarian Garlic Chicken (without garlic also available), Canarian Potatoes, Salad, Chips, Mojo and Ali-Oli sauces, and Sangria.
The A la Carte menu will no longer be offered on Mondays.
For those of you lucky enough to be staying at Pearly Grey during the summer month of July, the Body Zone Club will be giving away 2 FREE day-passes to the spa to anyone that purchases a Weeks Membership. A Weeks Membership includes unlimited use of both the gym & spa area, so the 2 free day-passes may be given to a friend or relative in your group. (Must be 16 yrs or over). Hope to see you soon for some fitness & relaxation!
Congratulations to Brian & Sheila Handley, who have won a free one week stay at Pearly Grey!
During their last stay here, they filled in one of our questionnaire forms and left it in the mailbox near reception. They were then randomly chosen from all of the questionnaires received during that 3 month period to win a free holiday!
They are the third winners of this contest, following Brian De Moulpied and Jacqueline Wales, who won in December, and Kevin & Lynda Wendt, who won in March.
Hi Folks!
Well, what can I say?!?! We are Ull, we are Ull, we are Ullull!! Who needs Mourinho? We´ve got Phil Brown-eeoh!!! We are going up, say we are going up!!!
Can you believe Hull City AFC have been promoted to join the big guns of the world famous Premiership?!? What a fantastic weekend I have just had. Hull City at Wembley stadium, there was no way I could miss such a momentous event. I got a very cheap return flight with Easy Jet to and from Gatwick; I landed on the Friday afternoon and headed off to my Good friends Malcolm and Ruth Samson´s house in Herts. I would like to thank them for their wonderfully kind hospitality.
I headed into London on the Saturday morning to meet up with our Mally, Murray and half of Hull that travelled down from East Yorkshire! We all met up at the St. James Park tube station, booked into our hotel and headed off to Wembley to savour the atmosphere. What an atmosphere down the Famous Wembley way!
The two contrasting colours of both sets of fans made this one of the most colourful finals to have taken place at the all new Wembley!
The Stadium itself must be thee best in the world. It is absolutely MASSIVE! It dwarfs the old Wembley. The facilities are world class and the arch is a wonderful piece of engineering.
Anyway, on to the game: The mighty Tigers had nothing to lose; Ull City have never been in the top flight of football, considering that Ull is the seventh largest City in the UK, and we were actually playing for the first time at Wembley! Just being there was enough for me.
And what a result!! It was so fitting that an Ull born and bred legend, by the name of Dean Windass scored the now historic volley that secured our top flight football for many, many days to come!! Notice I said days instead of years. I am already fed up with everybody commenting on how long we will last. Listen!! We are still celebrating our promotion, if we go straight back down again, then so be it. We will still be celebrating!! Eight years ago we were fighting for our lives to actually stay in the football league! We had the gates of the Boothferry Park chained up by the bailiffs! Very dark days indeed. So now we are going to enjoy every kick, every defeat and pinch ourselves when we see Hull City versus Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool!! Come on City Ull.
Talk soon my friends, please leave your name if you have read this article. I really appreciate it.
You may not have ever met Anabel, because we keep her hidden in our accounts department, where she has worked since November of 2002. Anabel, who hails from Madrid, is a responsible and hard worker, so much so that she did not miss a single day of work during her pregnancy in 2005 (she worked a full work week, then gave birth the following Monday!!)! She is also our resident shoe, handbag, and accessory connoisseur, and a proven expert on Spanish Celebrity Gossip.
